Slow Cooker Carnitas: The best thing to ever come out of my crockpot!


Ingredients

  • 3-4 lb. pork shoulder roast
  • 15 oz. bottle green taco sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ sweet onion, sliced
  • 1 tbsp. chili powder
  • 2 tsp. dried oregano
  • 2 tsp. cumin
  • 2 tsp. kosher salt
  • ½ tsp. cayenne pepper, or to taste
  • 1 c. water
  • ½ c. milk (do not add to crockpot)
  • 10-12 small tortillas (corn and whole wheat blend tortillas are my current fav)
  • Suggested condiments: finely shredded cabbage, guacamole or sliced avocado, and green salsa
