Simple Amaranth and Quinoa Porridge


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup dry quinoa, rinsed
  • 1/2 cup dry amaranth
  • 2 cups water
  • Pinch salt
  • 2 cups almond milk (homemade will make this recipe especially good)
  • 1 tbsp coconut sugar, agave, maple syrup, date paste, or sweetener of choice
  • 2 tbsp flax meal
  • 1/3 cup sliced or slivered almonds
