Easy Red Beans and Rice
Ingredients
- 1 medium onion
- 1/2 green pepper
- 2 ribs celery
- 3 cloves garlic
- 3 15-ounce can cans red beans (no sugar added), drained and well-rinsed
- 1 15-ounce can can fire-roasted tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt (optional or to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 – 1 teaspoon red (cayenne) pepper (to taste)
- 2 teaspoons hot sauce, plus more to serve
- Smoked salt or Liquid Smoke seasoning (optional)
- cooked brown rice, to serve
